The National Archives of Ecuador (in Spanish: Archivo nacional del Ecuador) were created in 1884. They took on their present organization in 1938. They are located in Quito and have a branch in San Juan de Ambato.
The documents held date from the period 1538 to 1944, distributed into 51 sections containing altogether 5679 boxes.
