The National Library of Israel (NLI; Hebrew: הספרייה הלאומית ; The National Library of Israel (NLI; Hebrew: הספרייה הלאומית ; formerly: Jewish National and University Library - JNUL, Hebrew: בית הספרים הלאומי והאוניברסיטאי), is the national library of Israel. The library holds more than 5 million books, and is located on the Givat Ram campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and was founded in 1892 as the B'nai Brith library.
The National Library owns the world's largest collections of Hebraica and Judaica, and is the repository of many rare and unique manuscripts, books and artifacts.
