The Open Society Archives (Hungarian: Nyílt Társadalom Archívum), abbreviated as OSA, is an archive and center for research and education located in Budapest, Hungary. Its collections and activities relate to the period after the Second World War, mainly the Cold War, the history of the formerly communist countries, Human rights, and War crimes. The institute is in close relationship with the Central European University. It was founded in 1995 by George Soros: and is backed financially by the Soros Foundation.
